December 18th, 2011. In our third broadcast, we explore the Roman holiday Saturnalia and how it relates to some contemporary holiday celebrations. We also have an interview with Todd Harris of Hi-Rez Studios about their forthcoming game SMITE, and play some of game’s awe-inspiring music composed by Chris Rickwood. Fisherman Angus Crouton updates us on the annual Pumpkin-Carving Contest in Haddonfield, IL, we get advertisements for Tomb Stone (premiere dead language-learning software!) and Specter Halt Sea Salt, and Priscilla Hernandez and Seanan McGuire return with musical interludes in “Haunted” and “Pretty Little Dead Girl.”
